The Zombie Market π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ + ORCL Review
Daily Market Model Update for 6/12/25

Welcome to the Daily Report where I review what happened in the past trading day, the driving forces behind the movesπ. At the end of the day, I publish the signals from a Short-Term trading portfolio that trades between 4 -10 day holding periods (currently beating the S&P500 by a lot this year), an Intermediate Term Portfolio that holds for about 3 months on average targeting 15-25% yearly returns, and the actual signals I use for trading my retirement accounts using mean reversion (5 different systems that average 10-20% yearly gains on the indexes). Everything comes with back tested results on the setupπ and the entries and exits always happen at the end of the day so you can buy and sell in the after-hours session (or on the open the next session if you prefer). I personally trade these signals, so there is no funny business here. I eat my own cookingπ³.
Letβs review what happened today!
What Drove Todayβs Move
Today we saw the market shirk off a gap down again and rally up to the 0DTE Implied Highs where we rested and coiled most of the afternoon. This is a market that simply will not die. Itβs a zombie market.
Breadth was crappy - barely half of stocks were going up today. Subs know we had short setups on IWM yesterday and those are working. The big story was ORCL reporting good earnings. It rallied a good 13% on the day, going fully parabolic. The weeklies here are hitting the tops of the blue bands and that is usually a death sentence for a stock. ORCL is a stock that can often squeeze pretty hard when it gets running, but this is setting up short here.
ORCL has done a 13% one day move only 4 times in the last 20 Years and none of them were higher after about a week and a half. In fact, in 2021 this kind of move topped the bull market.
Tomorrow implied vol should collapse for ORCL and puts might be a fun trade on that one. Subs, Iβve got another short setup Iβll review on a key sector!
